1.1. Introduction
The sensor and fitting program for specific conductivity measurement (model SC4A, SC41, SC42,SC49 and SX42) is designed to meet the most common installation requirements in terms of material compatibility, process connections and flow dynamics. Model SC4A sensors, available in a Stainless Steel or Titanium version with integral cable, are intended for the low conductivity applications. These sensors are designed in a convenient compact style, and can be inserted directly in process pipework using available fittings or adapters.

Model SC41, SC42 and SC49 sensors, available in various materials such as Epoxy, Stainless Steel, PTFE and PVDF, are intended to suit most process conditions. The sensors are provided with a connector to fit the Yokogawa WU40 cable. A wide range of flow and immersion fittings makes it

What is the difference between a SC41 and a SC42 sensor?

SC41 has a Ni100 temperature element and the SC42, current product, is a Pt1000 temperature element. Pt1000 is a better temperature element, however some old electronics will not accept a Pt1000 temperature element so the SC41 can still be purchased they are jsut not promoted.
